Fair Housing, Agency, & Ethics (Virtual - PA Required Topics 2026 Renewal & NAR Ethics)

Registration for all Live-Stream Continuing Education Classes close at 2:00 p.m. the day prior to the class, OR when full, whichever is sooner.

This course is approved for 7 hours of PA Mandatory Continuing Education for Real Estate Licensees.

- It covers both the mandatory Fair Housing content AND the mandatory Agency content due May 31, 2026 for all non-first time licensees.
- It also covers the NAR® Code of Ethics training AND the NAR® Fair Housing training due December 31, 2027.

This course begins by focusing on mandatory fair housing issues, laws, and banned practices that real estate licensees must understand. Real estate agents need to know what conduct violates anti-discrimination laws to avoid potential liability. We will also review current events and discuss “best practices” to ensure compliance with fair housing laws.

The course provides a refresher on agency relationships and disclosure obligations. It also examines various laws, thus giving context and perspective on behavior and obligations associated with agency relationships (buyer, seller, designated, dual), including consumer education on these roles, the Consumer Notice, and the role of transaction licensees. Students explore current events, issues, and case studies related to agency relationships, with an emphasis on legal agency changes and implications from those current events.

The National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics and ethical practices and decision-making for real estate professionals. While only REALTORS® agree to fully abide by the Code of Ethics, it is an industry standard that is widely accepted as guiding principles for all licensees. The Code of Ethics adds discussion and standards to agency concepts, ethical decision making, and representation of clients/protection of consumers.
