Ethics, Your Promise of Professionalism (NJ Ethics, 4 Hrs; PA 4Hrs) This course addresses the specifics of the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics and ethical practices and decision-making for real estate professionals. While only REALTORS® agree to fully abide by the Code of Ethics, it is an industry standard that is widely accepted as guiding principles for all licensees. A licensee’s obligations to clients, customers, the public, and each other is essential as they navigate their obligations to clients, customers, consumers, and each other. This component of the course starts with a history of business ethics and moves into more practical applications. Code of Ethics training reinforces ways to eliminate practices that can damage consumers, while simultaneously promoting better, ethical ways to transact business. The cooperation of licensees allows for real estate professionals to keep in mind the best interests of their clients and consumers, and recognizing best practices of ethical ways to transact business benefits everyone. • This course MAY cover REALTORS® tri-ennial Code of Ethics requirements, which is next due December 31, 2024; contact your local association to learn if they will accept this course as completion for the requirement. Changes made by NAR® to acceptable completion offerings mean this course is only accepted if your local association approves it. Polley Associates cannot control the decision of the local association, and it is your responsibility to check with them.
